My name is Alan Fullarton. I am a Musician/Composer based in Manama, Kingdom Of Bahrain. Think of this website as an online CV/Portfolio of my compositions.

I teach Guitar from home or on location at a venue of your choice and can also assist beginners with their own personal home studios (setup, program tuition, composition, etc). I am available for Mixing and can offer fantastic rates for people wanting to improve their demos or album. I have plenty of experience both live and in the studio and am a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, England.

I enjoy composing music and teaching guitar/bass and have had a very successful career which I plan to continue here in Bahrain. Currently I am in a non-exclusive deal with the Etrax online music library (links page). My passion for video games music means I would be very interested in that type of work. In the media page is some game clips for which I composed all the sound for. My strongest area in composing would have to be Rock/Metal and all their subgenres, though I would never restrict myself to just that genre and am open to progressing my current skills in other genres. I am perfectly happy writing to a set brief as well as offering creative input and new directions for projects. I am also available as a session guitarist for both live and studio work. My lessons are primarily a one to one based system so that each student receives the best possible service but I can do group lessons at a reduced rate per student and still strive to provide the best service possible. I do have lesson plans for complete beginners and I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs and musical interests. The lessons are very relaxed whilst being thorough and the focus is on learning the instrument itself in a contemporary context. The reason for this is so that I can help students reach the standard of playing required to gain entrance into any of the contemporary music schools in the world (if they so choose this path) to further any career in the music industry. With my extensive live and studio experience, students will benefit from the real-life knowledge that may be encountered throughout their lives.

I use up to date professional music software in all my lessons and am very comfortable using many software sequencers including:
Logic Studio (pro7&8, mainstage,soundtrack pro,waveburner)-Mac
Cubase -Mac&PC
Garageband

I also have working knowledge of the following:
Sonar/Cakewalk
Pro Tools
Ableton Live
Fruityloops Pro
Native Instruments products and various other soft synths
Almost any hardware recoders (multitracks, cassette recorders, etc)
Microphone placement, signal chains, routing, etc.

I compose and play guitar in a now studio-based band called "Galvanic" and have another side project called Darkbreed. Yep, they are both very Metal! I am also an Apple Mac fanatic so I can also offer advice on this subject.
